Sponsorship

I am in the process of looking for sponsors for the next Race Season and demonstration events of my Guinness World Record holding Powered Streetluge.

Streetluge is an Extreme Sport in which the participants lie down on what is a cross between a winter Ice Luge and a Skateboard, and race each other down mountain roads. With no breaks or form of power other than the force of gravity a Streetluge can attain speeds of 70mph and outperform a car. In 2006 I became the British National Champion and in 2007 I broke the Guinness Land Speed Record for a Powered Streetluge.

Streetluge sponsorship is a very cost effective way of getting your brand seen by a wider audience. Streetluge is a fast growing extreme sport and the media world has started to latch on to it as the "next big thing". I have appeared in/on various local, national and international papers, magazines, radio and TV programs, visit the In The Media section to see what I have done. For 2009 I am continuing to get media interest in both my Streetluge racing an record breaking Jet Powered Streetluge.

I want to reach new heights in the World Streetluge Rankings by attending as many World Cup races as possible. I also have interest from several production companies, motor sport events and shows to demonstrate my record breaking Jet Powered Luge.

For 2009 my insurance is being provided by Travel Insurance Specialists P J Hayman & Company. Their ADVENTURES INSURANCE policy has been specially designed to cover high risk activities. Full details available via their website www.adventuresinsurance.co.uk.
Heward Microjets are manufacturers of miniature jet engines. I met the company owners while working on Mission:Implausible for IWC Media / Sky TV and they were very interested in attempting the World Record. They will be supplying and specially modifying one of their engines which should propel me up to speeds of 120mph.
Seismic Skate make superb high speed and racing wheels. Seismic wheels help me achieve record speeds and climb the IGSA World Cup Streetluge rankings.
Wrigley's Airwaves helped my "Kick It Up A Gear" as one of their Airwaves Pros for the 2007 season. As a Pro I represented their company throughout the year during my racing, for my World Record and at various other events. Many thanks go to everyone at Airwaves for helping fund my dreams and making the record possible.
VXB are a US supplier of precision bearings. For my world record attempt they have agreed a sponsorship deal which includes their fully ceramic skate bearings. These are one of the most advanced bearings on the market. Their ceramic construction makes them fast, durable and highly heat resistant, perfect for the speeds I hope to achieve.
Mega make world leading Surf Kayaks. Based on a steel chassis of my own design Mega helped mould and make and advanced composite shell for my luge to aid aerodynamics and performance.
